Facials - Natural Elements Organic Skincare

After considering various skin care ranges I decided that Natural Elements best suited the philosophy of my salon.

This British research and development cosmetic manufacturing company specialise in creating organically derived formulations with Soil Association & Ecocert certified essential oils.

Environmental considerations mean that the packaging is predominately recyclable.  These products are not housed in unnecessary boxes. Products are free from mineral oils and petro-chemicals which strip the natural oils from the skin.  Artificial perfumes are omitted; therefore the natural aroma of essential oils is obvious.

These products are not tested on animals and do not contain animal ingredients such as lanolin or beeswax.

These products have no methyl, popyl, butyl and ethyl parabens which are food grade preservatives used to extend a products shelf life and inhibit microbial growth. Parabens are considered highly toxic and have been found in cancer tumours. Additionally they can cause rashes and other allergic reactions.

Products do contain vital oils containing anti-oxidants which harness ‘free radicals’ and prevent skin cell damage building up in the body.

Multi-vitamins to feed and nourish the skin and aid protection.

Plant and sea extracts for their detoxifying and nourishing properties.

Aloe vera - a natural anti-inflammatory, with powerful antiseptic and healing properties.

Natural Elements products include a range for babies and gentlemen and a totally fragrance free range for people with very sensitive skin or who are allergic to essential oils or prefer non-fragrant products. Gift sets are also available.

Makeup - Purely Mineral

Amazing, all natural makeup range formulated to provide a feather light, flawless finish whilst protecting and soothing the skin.

Purely Mineral contains only finely ground minerals, blended with natural pigments to create subtle bases, flattering bronzers and blushers and radiant eye colours. Purely Mineral makeup is quick and easy to apply, covering and disguising redness and blemishes and imparting a soft, even skin tone. It also acts as an effective, natural sunscreen and will stay put all day long without the need for a touch-up!

Purely Mineral makeup is available to order from the salon.

£10.00 fee applies to all mobile makeup bookings.

Makeup group bookings will be confirmed when a non-returnable deposit of 50% of the total charge of services required is received.

Waxing with Australian Body Care

With recipes originating from the rich landscapes of the Australian Bush, inspired by the ancient traditions of the Aborigines who discovered the curative effects of using natural ingredients to cleanse and care for the hair and body, Australian Bodycare has been used in professional salons for over 15 years.  They are regarded as one of the ‘trusted’ brands, maintaining high quality products.

Australian Body Care’s ingredients include tea tree oil, an essential oil which is naturally antibacterial, antiseptic and anti-viral

In order to maintain the utmost hygienic standards during waxing treatments, spatulas are never re-dipped and all products used are totally disposable.

In order to get the best possible results, the hair to be waxed needs to be a minimum of ¼ cm in length

Please ensure that no heat treatments such as sun beds, sauna etc. are taken 24 hours prior to and after all wax treatments.

Australian Body Care products are provided and recommended for home use.

Manicure and Pedicure - Orly

Tanning - St. Tropez Tan (Classic Lotion Application)

The St Tropez range of products was developed to achieve the perfect self tan. It is very different to any other on the market and so is the application. It is the aloe vera base which takes the tan into the skin. This means there is no need to massage the tan into the skin.

St Tropez is a one strength tan. This means that it will only develop to a maximum strength. It is therefore impossible to put too much product on to the skin. Any excess product will be wasted. As long as all the surface area of skin is covered the tan cannot streak.

St. Tropez will never go orange because it has a hint of green in the formulation.

The tan application is preceded by skin exfoliation.

An advice slip will be issued to you prior to your treatment.

Tinting - Professional Beauty Systems

Tinting enhances the natural colour of eyebrows and lashes and is beneficial if going on holiday and not wishing to wear mascara e.g. swimming, sunbathing.  It is semi-permanent and wears off after around 2 – 4 weeks.  Available in brown, black and blue-black. It is essential that a patch test be carried out 24 hours prior to treatment.
